Web accessibility

I want my website to be usable and welcoming for as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. As a disabled business owner myself, accessibility is personal to me, not just a checklist.

This site is an ongoing work in progress. I’m always learning and improving, and I truly appreciate feedback that helps make this space easier for everyone to use.

Commitment to accessibility

I aim to follow recognized accessibility guidelines as closely as I can, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), which are international standards for making websites more accessible to people with disabilities.

My goals include:

  • Clear text: Using readable font sizes and good color contrast where possible.

  • Keyboard access: Making sure menus, links, and buttons can be reached and used with a keyboard.

  • Text alternatives: Adding alt text to images that share important information.

  • Simple structure: Using headings and clear sections so content is easier to navigate and understand.

Because this site changes over time, some areas may not be perfect yet, but I’m committed to improving them.

What I’m working on

I am actively working to:

  • Improve color contrast so text and buttons are easier to read.

  • Reduce or fix accessibility warnings from tools like WebAIM where I have control over the code and settings.

  • Label buttons and links clearly so it’s obvious what will happen when you click them.

  • Make forms easier to use and understand for all visitors.

Some parts of the website are controlled by my website platform and store system. In those areas, I may not be able to change every technical detail, but I still do my best to choose the most accessible options available.

Known limitations

Even with my best efforts, there may still be:

  • Icons or system elements (like cart or account buttons) where I cannot change the size, label, or code.

  • Form structures that are generated automatically by my website platform and cannot be edited directly.

  • Small text in certain built‑in areas (like badges or tooltips) that I cannot resize myself.

If you run into an issue, it’s not your fault, and I appreciate you letting me know so I can look for a better solution or workaround.

Feedback and contact

If you have trouble using this website, notice an accessibility issue, or have suggestions:

Please include, if you can:

  • The page you were on (URL or page name)

  • What you were trying to do

  • What went wrong or was difficult

I may not be able to fix everything immediately, but I read all feedback and use it to guide improvements.

Ongoing improvement

Accessibility is not a one‑time project; it’s an ongoing process. I review my website regularly and especially when I:

  • Add new content or products

  • Change themes or design

  • Update store or form features
